Tongits Go is a three-player draw-and-discard card game that blends the fast-paced thinking of rummy with the social energy of a Pakistani card night. Originally popular in the Philippines, the game has found a serious following among online casino players in Pakistan — particularly on 777cs, where dedicated tables run around the clock.
The goal is straightforward: form valid sets and sequences from your hand and reduce your total card points before opponents do. The player who manages to "Tongits" — emptying their hand entirely — wins outright. Otherwise, the player with the lowest remaining point total when the deck runs out, or when someone calls a draw challenge, claims the pot.
At 777cs, Tongits Go tables run at multiple stake levels, so whether you're a beginner in Lahore playing a low-stakes evening session or a seasoned player in Karachi grinding higher-limit tables, there is a seat waiting for you.
New to the game? Here is everything you need to know before sitting at your first table.
Each player receives 12 cards. The dealer gets 13 cards and makes the first discard to kick off play. A standard 52-card deck is used with no jokers.
On your turn, draw from the deck or pick up the last discard. Then discard one card face-up. You can also "expose" a valid meld (set or sequence of 3+) to reduce your hand count.
A valid set is three or four cards of the same rank (e.g., three Kings). A sequence is three or more consecutive cards of the same suit (e.g., 5-6-7 of Hearts). Exposed melds are visible to all players.
If you discard your last card and your hand is fully melded, you declare Tongits and win the round automatically. This is the highest winning condition and pays the best rate.
Any player can call a "draw" if no one has Tongitsed and enough turns have passed. All players reveal remaining cards and the lowest total point count wins. Face cards = 10 points; Ace = 1 point.
A player who Tongits or wins a draw challenge "burns" all opponents. Burned players lose their stake. Strategic bluffing about your hand size is a key part of high-level Tongits play.
Tongits Go rewards both memory and patience. Watching what opponents discard tells you which cards are safe to hold and which sequences are unlikely to complete. Here are the key tactics that separate consistent winners from casual players at 777cs tables.
The discard pile is visible. If both other players have discarded 7s, a 7 in your hand is dead weight — dump it quickly rather than building a set around it.
Exposing melds early reduces your vulnerability to a draw challenge. A low exposed point count makes you the favourite even if you cannot Tongits outright.
Face cards carry 10 points each. If you cannot meld them, discard them before drawing additional cards — unmelded face cards will cost you in a draw showdown.
Calling a draw is a power move — only do it when you are confident your point total is lower than both opponents. Calling too early when opponents have exposed melds is a common beginner mistake.
Try to keep cards that can form part of multiple possible melds. A 6 of Hearts could complete a set of 6s or a 5-6-7 sequence — flexible hands adapt faster to what opponents discard.
A player drawing quickly and not exposing may be close to Tongits. Slow draws and frequent discards suggest they are struggling. Adjust your aggression accordingly.
Pick your level — from low-stakes evening fun to serious high-limit play.
